Do you have a tagline for your business? Taglines define your brand in a single, unique sentence and can carry your brand message for years. According to Forbes.com’s recent article, “Best-Ever Advertising Taglines”, some of the most popular taglines were created more than 50 years ago.
Can you name the owner of this tagline? “A Diamond is Forever?” Got it? If not, it’s DeBeers and was created by an ad agency that’s no longer around called N.W. Ayer & Son. in 1948. How about, “The Milk Chocolate Melts in your Mouth, Not in your Hand” that slogan was created for M&Ms in 1954 by the ad agency Bates & Co. More recently, the “Ultimate Driving Machine,” was created for BMW in 1971 by Ammirati & Puris. So, if you want your brand to last, consider investing in creating a memorable, and unique tagline. Go ahead, “Reach out and Touch Someone”.
